BROOK, Ill., January 29, 2007 – Ready for the ultimate
autograph experience? Sharpie® is offered this opportunity
to connect with the stars – literally. The popular brand
of permanent markers known as the autograph pen of choice
unveiled a one-of-a-kind Sharpie marker worth more than $10,000
in Miami during the week leading up to football’s biggest
game. Featuring more than 1,300 Swarovski® crystals and
65 perfect-cut Hearts On Fire diamonds, the “Celebrity
Edition” Sharpie was auctioned off for charity in
February of 2007.

Designs
were submitted to the store, and judged independently. The
judges asked questions to the staff about how their selections
would be made during the process, to insure the accuracy
of the designs.

Alexandra Pasterak, from Saint Charles
Winner
in the 4 to 8 age

Alexandra's
design was created using Computer Aided Design. Then
the piece was printed in
wax in 3D, and cast in 14K yellow gold and set with a princess
cut Peridot in the center. Unique to this piece. is that
the
dolphins on the sides are the same as drawn on the page.
The artist had also written "For My Mommy" under the picture.
This
was
recreated inside the ring, also in Alexandra's own handwriting. |

Douglas' Design was fabricated
in the shop at State Street Jewelers, assembled and set. |
For
this piece, the metal was rolled out, and formed in to the
circles, the heads are manufactured, and assembled in place,
and the stones set. This features a hidden bail, between the
circles, for the chain. |
