Joined State Street Jewelers since October of 2004. He is a Graduate Gemologist, and moved to Saint Charles from Central Iowa in January of 2000. John has worked in the jewelry industry Since 1982.

Starting as a bench jeweler, working in to custom design, then becoming an owner of a store specializing in custom jewelry, John has won several design awards through Jewelers of America competitions. An Ametrine and Diamond pendant was one of the top 32 designs showing at the International JA show in February of 2000. Most recently, 1st place in the 2003 Illinois competition with a Diamond ring, in 18K gold and Platinum.

"I love to take pieces that have been hiding in a drawer for years, and create an heirloom, that can be enjoyed for generations".

John Wears many hats at State Street Jewelers, and in the Community.

  • Manages the repair department at the store
  • Creates the Wax models and Computer Aided Designs (CAD) for custom Jewelry
  • Webmaster for the site you are looking at right now.
  • Secretary of the Geneva Lions Club
  • Lectures to Girl Scout Troops in the store monthly about Gemstones for their jewelry badge
  • Lectures on Gemstones and Custom Jewelry design at Museums, Jr. High, and High Schools
